FROM DINING AT JACK’S PLACE TO THE PINK PANTHER DIAMOND !

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

Mood     : Relaxed                                Music     : "Pink Panther Theme" (Remix)

PinkSaturday evening - A mother and her son wanted to spend quality time together eatin & shoppin so 1Utama (your one-stop shopping center) was da perfect place to be. Heard a lot bout Jack’s Place (F346) so we decided to give da place a try. Da restraunt set da rite atmosphere for couples and families to dine. I’m talking bout really dimmed lites, candles, pure western settings and gosh, da menu…you just dunno what to choose. Price was absolutely reasonable.

Found out it was a Singaporean company. I ordered LOBSTER BISQUE SOUP for starters and my main course was this VENICEN & CRAY FISH COMBO served with da sauce of your choice. Tasty and delightful. Top it up with this drink I ordered called JELLICIOUS MANGO FLOAT and I had a complete meal alrite. Da place was packed and have to give them 8/10 points for their service. FAST and alwayz take time to attend to you !

BeyonceGot da 9.30pm show for Pink Panther at GSC and we laughed till our heart’s content. Some of the jokes and certain scenes were really hillarious to da max. Others…well let’s just say those were meant for da kids ! Storyline was simple of course, but unfortunately, you just won’t have a single clue on who is da real murderer and where da Pink Panther Diamond was hidden !!! Oh, do take note on their French accent. Some French would think is fake but I personally think Steve Martin did a fine job in pulling that accent off. Not that it sounded believeable but rather sounded really CUTE & FARNEY ! I wanna learn FRENCH !!! And need I say Beyonce is alwayz sizzling hot and gorgeous ???

Talking bout French, my mother mistakenly called her French Fries…FRIED POTATO !!! And this is how you pronounce France with a French accent…FUANCE !!! Urgh, I can’t seem to get da Pink Panther theme song out of my head !!! -_-"

Mood     : Shocked                        Music     : "Stick With You" by PussyCatDolls

Da day went by normally and well for me today. Got up like 3pm after the BOARD GAME MARATHON at Adeline’s. Cooked meself mac & cheese while watching the rerun of America’s Next Top Model episode 6. Had a meeting with da cast and crew members at the Dram at 5.30pm. Brought my laptop and digi cam over there to do my job. I had to do a coverage on their rehersal plus I needed to snap profile shots of every cast and important crew members. This will be then added into the company’s blog website. Stayed there till 8 and I got home around 8 something.

Put everything away and thought I could get started with the blogging and finish editing the pictures. Guess what ? I COULD NOT TURN ON MY DEXTER !!! Thats rite, Dexter is da name of my lappie…not a pet dog or pet munchkin !!! It happened to me b4, whereby my laptop could not be turn on like for some time because da battery was very low or weak. So I just let it be and decided to do other things while charging the laptop. It was 9 something then

Went out for a mamak session with da gang at Mossin where we were all introduced to some very delicious desert from Bangkok by Yvonne and also tried some interesting dried plum from Hong Kong bought by Adeline. Went home around 1am and decided to give Dexter a try and to my horror, not a single response from it. I started to panic and called Kah Leong for help. He gave me some pointers but I had no pulse from Dexter. We gave up and and he said he will drop by today to do an autopsi on Dexter. Devastated of course, I decided to sleep my grief away.

Got up at 3am for a drink (thirsty over mamak), and I still did not want to come to terms with my lappie dying so I gave da ON button another push and WALLAH, Dexter came back. Everything was fine and nothing was lost. It was a miracle to da max man !!!

BOARD GAMES MARATHON !

Mood     : Happy                          Music     : "Push The Button" by Sugababes

Boredome hits youngsters around Malaysia every now and then and it definitely did not spare people like Adeline, Elisa, Jung and Me. Was aimlessly browsing the net when suddenly Jung messaged me on MSN asking whether I was in da mood for board games at Adeline’s. I said YES without a doubt and we went to her place at 10.30pm. Stephen Chow’s "Fight Back To School" was on so we sat and watch da show 1st b4 adjurning to the "tower" at 12am.

Kick-started da marathon with a game of Jumanji. Ok, I would say that some elements of the game is pretty cool but still it was pretty much an aimless game. I won though. I still have clear memory on how da game ended so when I finally reached da middle of da board, instead of yelling JUMANJI (which you are suppose to), I was like…yay…suck..suck everything back in !!!

Then we moved on to some inter-galactica business game called Monopoly Starwars. That really gave the game a twist man. Long story cut short, Jung put us all into bankrupcy. Din’t bother to keep track of time, we head on to the next popular board game, RISK !!!

From some ancient voodoo game to doing business transaction in the universe, we headed down to world war !!! Our missions were pretty hard to achieve so in the end, Adeline won the game by completing her mission of capturing 24 territories. B4 our morning ended, we played UNO H2O which is da latest edition of the UNO franchise. Basically, da same card game only this time da card is made out of translucent plastic and there are 2 additional powercards whereby one card could also purnish every player a draw +1 or draw +2 !!! Finally decided to call it quits when I gotten to trash Jung at the last game and we realized it was already 6am !!!

BADMINTON TILL FEARLESS !!!

Mood     : Impressed                                        Music     : "Stronger" by Britney Spears

Badminton_0111Da day officially started when we all made a trip to subang for a time of badminton. I thought it was one fun game and if I’m not mistaken, badminton was one of my early childhood sport that I ever played. Gosh, it’s been years and was pretty surprised yet impressed with my performance. Teamed up with SHIOU Wei throughout da one hour long game. One HUGE problem, da place had very poor ventilation system and we were melting like crazee. Glad it rained, although I have to say it rained TEROVER !!! By the way, I was leaning against the blue wall, not lying down on a blue floor !!! :p

Badminton_0051Left da place around 5.30pm cause I had to be at the Dram Project by 6ish to do a coverage on the production as well as meeting up with some of the crew members for important discussions regarding da publicity plan. Wow, I was exposed to contemporary theater today and I thought it was really cool. They call it a movement piece whereby a story is told using only your body language and facial expressions accompanied by classical instrumentals. This is where actions speak louder than words big time man.

Badminton_0061Adeline came and pick me up at 8pm cause we needed to be at 1Utama for Choong Yi’s farewell dinner. Well last dinner together ler. Ish, sad to say but I’m gonna miss that freak. We dined at Dave’s Cafe and da food was scrumptious. I ordered some duck dish served with wine sauce. Cost me 41 bucks. Thankz to all da uncle and aunties out there for their generous ang pows this year. Da nite was still young and it was only 10 something so da gang decided to check out movie listings at GSC. And oh, I need to mention this badly, me and Adeline TRASHED CHOONG YI BIG TIME in a game of poll. In other words, CHOONG YI LOST TO US !!! Muahahahaha…:p

249048jetlipostersAfter loads of debate and "lying", we finally settled on FEARLESS, Jet Li’s last movie. Da show was scheduled for 12.10am so we splitted. some went to Ming Tien for supper while another batch came to my place for a short visit and for an o2jam session. I had to go home cause I needed a bath badly as I was out since badminton plus I cannot be caught dead wearing what I wore at shoppin complexes. It is just so "unme" !!! A 7.5/10 points given to da show. Da fight sequences were really intense to da max. Although newspaper reported that numerous fight scenes were cut off but I din’t realize at all. Da storyline wasn’t that deep but the moral values instilled in da movie were valueble. Thank goodness it was spoken in cantonese and not mandarin or else I’ll be busy reading da subtitles, not being able to concertrate on da movie.  Since it is Jet Li’s last movie, I encourage movie goers to watch it ler !!!

Mood     : Bubbly                                          Music     : "Sorry" by Madonna

KeiraHAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY to all da lovely couples out there. February 14 definitely marks da day. And we have a full moon today. Anywayz, mom wanted to have a lovely dinner today with the whole family, well 3 of us of course so we ended up dining at FRIENDSTER CAFE at Damansara Perdana. Wanted to dine somewhere else in K.L but gosh, took her like almost 2 hours to get home from work so we changed our minds. Oh, and we all watched LOVE ACTUALLY on STAR MOVIES. Keira is so pretty :p

Da place sets da mood alrite for a Valentine’s Day dinner with dimmed lites and candles and even a Valentine set dinner. Dad ordered Lamb shoulders but 15 minutes later they came back and told us they ran out of lamb shoulders so he got Lamb shank instead. Mom ordered da chicken set while I had da sea bass set.

So here is where da mess all began. We arrived like almost 9 but we finally finished our meals like 10.45pm. They really took an awful long time to serve our meals. My dad finished his meal like b4 10 and me and my mom were like only havin our 3rd course, some awful soup with funny heart shape stuff floating on it. Worst part, after clearing my dad’s plate, the waiter came back with another lamb shank thinking my dad haven’t had his meal yet. Da same waiter cleared our table brought back another bowl of that same soup thinking I havent had my soup yet while me and my mom were patiently waiting for our chicken and fish. We had da laugh of our life joking about him coming back to us asking have we ordered !!! Aahahaha…

Mood     : Satisfied                         Music     : "We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey

Whatevers_0071Thank you AH LEONG for inviting us over to your house to try out your mom’s specialty. Today we got up around 9 something in da morning. All arrived at Ah Leong’s house late cause we slept pretty EARLY in da morning. Was waiting for Adeline in da car…late as usual so decided to entertain meself by taking pictures.

And so we arrived and da gals were given da task to chop spring onions and chinese cabbage into Whatevers_0141fine pieces. Then came da pork mixtures where Ah Leong had to mix really well. And da fun part, making da Sui Kao’s skin from scratch. Everything was natural and I think what makes this dish so unique is that it brings da people together and everything is home-made. Guess da saying "too many cook spoils da broth" is NOT applicable here huh since da sui kao turned out to be yummylicious to da max !!!

Whatevers_0101Oh, why there is no mention of Adrian doing anything ? Cause I have come rashes on my middle finger therefore I could not help out with da process although I was really keen to help out wherever I could. Pretty dissapointed I could not help out…(innocent stare) !!! Ahahaha…Well just wanna thank you guyz for da delicious sui kao and sending it over all da way to my place. Luv ya all. HUGZ :P
