Mood     : Captivated                                Music     : "Survivor" by Destiny’s Child

Hmm…seems like THURSDAY nites is going to be MOVIE NITE for me. Watched Fantastic Four last Thursday and today is THE ISLAND.

Wish I could say much here but I really…really dun wanna give da story away that easily. Dun wanna spoil da fun. Izit good ? To me…YEA. My mom thinks it was a little too long cause she is not much of a suspence kinda person when it comes to movies. Yes, da title may be called da ISLAND but do set your mind to da year 2015. Is a FUTURISTIC show that revolves around a SCIENTIFIC THEME.

Pretty action-packed too I must say. Got me lifted off da seat once in a while. Then again…it could be da cool SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM in da cinema. Ooo, I really liked how da camera man capture da beauty of the island and SCARLETT. And boy, glad I got a good look at da Calvin Klein ad she appeared in. Gosh…I’m beginning to sound like a MOVIE CRITIC. ATTENTION : Please note that this is just MY PERSONAL BLOG filled with my PERSONAL OPINION and COMMENTS.

LOOSE MY BREATH

Mood     : Exausted                         Music     : "Loose My Breath" by Destiny’s Child

Got a call from Yvette this afternoon during lunch. She asked me whether I have da Loose My Breath track from Destiny’s Child or not. I said no but I can get it for her from my fren. Then suddenly she SHOCKED me by asking me whether I can CHEREOGRAPH da whole track for her or not. My heart stopped beating for a split second and so many things ran in my mind.

I was picturing da MUSIC VIDEO for that song and playing da song in my head while I was on da phone with her. Confused and LOST completely cause da song was FAST-PACED, has a very UNIQUE BEAT and has a DIFFERENT dance concept to it. Told her it was quite difficult but nevertheless I could come by her house and figure something out for her,

Reached her place by 2.30pm. Half an hour I INTRODUCED her to da song…looked for da lyrics and let her WATCH DA MTV on Yahoo Launch. Started working on da CHORUS at 3pm and ended at 4. took some rest and by 5pm we were working HARD on da 1st VERSE.  Phew…tiring but nevertheless, it was DARN FUN !!! I myself could not believe I actually took da challenge.

Mood     : Satiated                   Music     : "Change…Change…Change" by Yvelyn Tang

First and foremost, thank you Uncle Samuel for belanjaing us at OCEAN PALACE. Da food was great and SENSATIONAL. Glad to have my TWO CHEs wif me. PHEW… had too much.

Uncle Sam kept coming to our "kids" table to spot-check on my plate. Gosh, it was scary once in a while when I’m taking a break and chattin wif my ches and then suddenly you feel this pat on yur back and HELPLESSLY you see more food rolling onto yur plate…urgh…jelat. No complaints, da food was delicious…unfortunately…it was OVERWHELMING… Had my own plate of rice. Half from Yvelyn…half from Yvette (my Ches are "petite" eater…AS IF) ! And then Uncle Sam added another plate…wahliao…I’m so RICED rite now !

Ooo…I especially enjoyed da FATTY PORK. Thankz to my mom, she knew I would love it so she brought SOME over…note da word SOME !!! Then…again…while i was socializing and taking a break…here comes good old Uncle Sam with MORE FATTY PORK…HUGE wans…urgh… Now I’m sooo PORKED ! Thus da title…UNDER  Uncle Sam’s DURESS !!! ;p

MALAYSIA MEGA SALE… WAHSEH !!!

Mood     : Excited                               Music     : "Material Girl" by Madonna

Truly was a beautiful Saturday and I was really in da mood to go out wif my mom anywhere. Got home from YPCG around 6.30pm. Sat next to my mom deciding where to go cause it was indeed da FIRST day of MEGA SALE. One thing for sure, it will be jam and packed all over cause we Malaysians just love SHOPPING dun we ?

I decided that we should FINE DINE at da Curve to kick-off da day. We landed on this place called THE COLONIAL TIMES and to our surprise, this LAVISH restraurant serves NORTHERN INDIAN cuisine. I was so happy cause I enjoy northern indian food. Ok, so this is what I ordered…EUROPEAN IMPACT…it is an exquisite tandoor-grilled chicken simmered in satin smooth tomato gravy. Goes so well with tandoor roti. Also ordered a fine glass of MANGO LASSI.

After that we hop over to IKANO to shop and gosh, MASTERCARD organized so many contests…we joined a few hoping to win something cause we have resits worth hundreds. PADINI CONCEPT STORE had discounts up to 70% and so many of da T-shirts are half-priced. Din’t buy anything cause I can really wait. Is too early. Da MEGA SALE will last till MERDEKA DAY.

This year, "they" decided to LAUNCH da MEGA SALE event in PJ’s GOLDEN TRIANGLE. Yeap, Mutiara Damansara is in da triangle. Da whole stretch of road in between IKEA, IKANO, DA CURVE and TESCO was blocked to make it like a MINI ORCHARD ROAD. There were PYRO performances, ladies dressed in really "COOL" outfits walking up and down da street, clowns and a HUGE STAGE was set in da middle of da road for FASHION SHOWS and concerts !

So glad I got a close look at AMBER CHIA on da fashion runway. Too bad she din’t notice me. Oh, ironically there were TWO SESSIONS of FIREWORKS done today. One at 10 something which we witnessed live on da streets. The other one just released as I’m typing this blog.

FANTASTIC 4 WAS…FANTASTIC !!!

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

Mood     : Wishful                 Music     : "Everything Burns" by Ben Moody

From da moment JESSICA ALBA appeared… till da SUPERSTORM collition… slowly DISCOVERING and DEVELOPING their own "SYMPTHOMS" (POWERS) till da part da gang TEAM-UP and battle Dr Von Doom, I was just sitting there mesmerized by HER and their strengths… urgh, it was just FANTASTIC I must say.

I have to comment that Stan Lee (da marvel comic writer) is just amazingly  CREATIVE & SMART !!! I mean to come up wif all da different characters with unique powers and diverse attitudes…of course you do see some similarities in his other works but do bare in mind that FANTASTIC 4 was his very FIRST PROJECT followed by other HITZ like SPIDERMAN…SUPERMAN…X-MEN !!!

Yea…I did hear bout some dissapointing feedbacks and reviews bout da movie but nevertheless, da important part is that me and my mom really enjoyed da movie. On da way home, I asked her whichpower she would love to have and  SURPRISINGLY she said da HUMAN TORCH’s. I was pretty convinced that she would want to be like da INVINSIBLE GIRL (Jessica Alba)… SHIELDING and DISSAPEARING. Urgh…she is soooo SEXY…JESSICA I mean !!! Aahahha :p

BBQ & WHASSUP !!! YEA BABY :P

Mood     : Filled                                                Music    : "Let’s Get It Started" by B.E.P

I must say that today is one fulfilling and satisfying day. WHASSUP planned a BBQ at my place long…long time ago and it finally came to pass. Today is a SUNDAY but nevertheless, me and my parents got up and gave da house one good SPRING CLEANING. My mom cleaned da KITCHEN and BATHROOM wherelse my DAD cleared da LIVING HALL and PORCH. Me on da other hand cleaned MY OWN ROOM. Not so much for da BBQ but just for da plain reason that tomorrow is da BEGINNING of a NEW SEMESTER. Threw FOUR large bags worth of junk.

Da BBQ was suppose to begin at 5 but guests started arriving after 5.45pm. That was pretty a relief for me and my mom cause we needed some time for FOOD PREPARATION. You know, taking them out from da bags and washing them nicely and lay it properly on da plate. This was for da STEAMBOAT. My dad got da BBQ fire started way early…perfect timing…when da food arrived, it was ready to be grilled. Oh…thankz ADELINE for lending me da skewers.

Loads of FOOD. We had TOM YAM steamboat, chips and BBQ meat …CHICKEN …LAMB …SAUSAGES. Cool "COCKTAIL" too… Combination of orange juice, vodka lime and sprite. My mom even opened our ABSOLUTE VODKA bottle and mixed it wif Vanilla Coke for all of us to drink. Wahseh…WHASSUP taking POISON…KEWL. We watched 3 different CSIs while eating. It was a very COSY FAMILY gathering. Pretty enjoyable I must say.

Lastly, da nite ended with us all celebrating Uncle Stephen’s birthday. Wow…da cake bought by Janet was OOO…LA…LA !!! Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe. Whassup presented Uncle Stephen with a Bronze poster of da ARMOUR OF GOD and my family gave him a Mont Blanc pen & key chain. All left by 12.30am. Cleaning was pretty easy :p

A NITE OUT OF THIS WORLD !

Mood     : Intrigued                                    Music     : "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter

I guess da phrase "YOUNG PEOPLE DO CRAZY THINGS" is pretty true huh ! For one, I’m very sure tonite 14 July 2005 is one interesting yet wacky nite for me.

it all started at NOKIA STARLIGHT CINEMA. I had one sponsor pass and 6 complimentary tickets. We were there at 7.30 to get good place but da wheather wasn’t very promising. It drizzled and then stopped and at da same time there were flashes of lighting once in a while. In fact, Jung Yee told us that coloured sky = heavy rain. We decided to stay for da experience. Pretty cool place actually. I took my huge picnic blanket along while Shiu Hui brought huge canvanses. Adeline brought NUTS. And it decided to rain slightly heavy. Thank God for da canvas. So funny holding up da canvas to protect ourselves from getting wet. Got our asses wet though ! That was really funny and tiring.

Decided to leave after AN HOUR under da rain and drove straight to KFC for FINGER-LICKIN good meal. Here’s da WACKY part. We stopped at Adeline’s and decided to take a stroll around da neightbourhood cause da air was so COOLING and FRESH. Ended up at da PLAYGROUND. We really REVIVED our CHILDHOOD memories there…LITERALLY…I think we became 6 years old again.

Firstly, we arrived at da SWING. 6 of us took turns to compete who could swing da HIGHEST and da winner was QUEEN ADELINE. Next, we urjurned towards da SEE-SAW…my my…I had fun RIDING on it like a cowboy…BUT…with Adeline on the other end…it was like riding on a MAD BULL. Finally we reached da BALANCING PLANK. This is where we INVENTED a new "SPORT" for da OLYMPICS. Requires 4 members and 1 STABILIZER. Everybuddy stands on da balancing plank RANDOMLY. Once da game starts, arrange each other based on any CRITERIA on da plank without falling or touching da floor. Da key success factor ??? Very good TEAM WORK and FOCUS…loads of FOCUS.

We were there for hours screwing up and laughfing. Nevertheless, I think we PERFECTED da "sport". B4 da nite ended, we went back to Adeline’s and played a few rounds of IN BETWEENS and BLACK JACK over a quarter glass of SAKE. James was da WINNER for da nite followed by Wei Siong. All left at 1.30am. What a nite !!!

OOO LA LA… COCOA PARADISE :p

Mood     : Satiated                                        Music     : "Chocolate" by Kylie Minogue

Some of you may know that I enjoy making all kinds of ice-blended juices on weekends. Well this time round is a little different. It all started with a special episode on OPRAH about SINFUL DELICASIES some months ago. And one of the TEMPTATIONS featured on that episode was CHOCOLATE-BASED. She discovered a cafe famous for their…(now read this carefully)…FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE drink. Now how ironic is that ? Anywayz, I got a thing or two from that episode and decided to try it on my own. Plus a little observation I did at San Francisco Coffee House.

Two people I have to thank first for making this RICH and FULFILLING drink come true. AUNTY LORNA for introducing me to CHOCOLAT CHAUD (hot cocoa powder) flown all da way from Vancouver made by Nestle Cocoa. In fact, dat was da main ingredient. Next, thank you MOMMY for getting me the other ingredients to PERFECT da drink. She went to Cold Storage to get me those exspensive items while I was napping.

Ok…so why izit named COCOA PARADISE ? Well picture this carefully my people and BLEND them up real good in yur mind. 1) Hot Chocolate Powder 2) Magnolia’s Fresh Chocolate MILK 3) Blue Bunny’s PREMIUM HOME-MADE chocolate ice-cream 4) Topped with Strawberry WHIPPED-CREAM 5) Ice…loads of ice. Blend all these ingredients real good in a blender and WAHLAH…you get Frozen Hot Chocolate…also known as EXTREME CHOCOLATE at San Francisco Coffee House but creatively named by me as COCOA PARADISE…another glass of Cocoa Paradise ???

I HAVE A NIGHT LIFE TOO *o* ZOUK

Thursday, July 7th, 2005

Mood     : Energized                            Music     : "Loose My Breath" by Destiny’s Child

Comparing with other clubs I’ve been…ZOUK is da place to be. Pay 30 bucks, you’ll get to go in wif a drink on da house. Add another 2 more bucks, you’ll enjoy entrance to both ZOUK and VELVET. Two different clubs wif different style of music and settings. LADIES…please note that THURSDAY is yur nite…FREE !!!

Now why do I like ZOUK ? Cause for one, da place in not patronized by BENGs…thank goodness !!!  Secondly, da MUSIC is just HIP & HAPPENIN. I mean literally up-to-date R&B and HIP HOP songs that are TASTEFULLY REMIXED. Nite life in ZOUK starts AFTER 11pm. As every single hour passes by, da CROWD starts MULTIPLYING and da MUSIC gets more…ermm…more ELECTRIFYING. Lastly, I must say da GALS there are gorgeous in their own right. Then again, is LADIES NITE ! Probably get to see them on THURSDAYs only.

One thing BAD bout da place is that after 1am, you wont have ENOUGH PLACE to do yur THANG. Seriously, da dance floor gets more and more packed and ppl are literally SANDWICHED together gether. Honestly, it was pretty FRUSTRATING. Felt so confined to my little spot. Nevertheless, da ppl were having a blast !!!

ATTENTION : Was just there for da EXPERIENCE. Dun think I’m some kind of PARTY ANIMAL. Cause I’m NOT. Never really liked da idea of PAYING to DANCE. Some ppl I know just go for their POISON. Well my poison is DANCIN…GETTIN INTO DA ZONE and GROOVE to da beat. Thats all…no more no less. I’m practically enjoying my SHORT-TERM  break. After that, is da same OLD brand NEW semester. Cheers ya’ll. Gee…WAT A NITE *o*

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES IS DELICIOUS !!!

Mood     : Intrigued                                    Music     : "Cater 2 U" by Destiny’s Child

Witty and well-written show I must say. Da characters are so diversified and best part…these gals are gorgeous in thier own way. I like Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) for some reason. For one, she’s an ex-model. I like da way da story is narrated as well. Gives me da flow…

Wisteria Lane is just magnificient. So perfect and beautiful. Makes me wanna live in da states. Hmm, nevertheless, most people seem to enjoy Susan’s character (Teri Hatcher). She’s da likeable one…
